Nice, I was wondering if you were hunting. I’m in Myrtle Beach for a wedding, nice and cool for the low country this evening.

Only saw a couple of deer but it was a nice evening in the stand. Was crazy windy at first but died down.Nice, I was wondering if you were hunting. I’m in Myrtle Beach for a wedding, nice and cool for the low country this evening.

I love that old buck!Look at this weirdo who I saw tonight in person. I hadn’t seen these pics yet so had no clue what I was looking at. Never got a clear look at him from the stand but saw enough to realize he was a strange one.

This weekend is the rock bottom of the yearly October lull during archery season for deer in Pennsylvania, due to hunting pressure, acorns falling, warm weather, no rut, and the wrong moon, which means that there is no worse time to go hunting, so if you are out hunting deer in PA this weekend it means that you are one of the following:
#1. Stupid.
#2. You're hunting overpopulated Stupid deer.
#3. You always hunt every day of the season no matter what.
#4. You're desperately trying to get away from something worse.
#5. You're a diehard who just doesn't give a deers butt.
#6. You're a greenhorn who hasn't figured this out already. So congratulations if you are #6, you are out in your stand & well on the way to figuring this out for yourself, which is of course the only way that you will believe it.
I personally am probably #5.
Good LuckGrandson and I headed to stand in a couple of minutes. 2nd day of youth rifle. We saw 5 bucks and 2 does yesterday morning and 2 were nice but he held off. No hunt yesterday afternoon as I had to host our church group. 39 degrees right now and little to no wind out of the north. South plot...

The temp change this morning was crazy. Good luck out there I'll get my chance next weekend.I don’t think I’ve ever been more screwed by the wind than I was this morning. The expected cool front came through overnight and we went from 88 degrees yesterday to 55 degrees this morning. Supposed to be perfect N/NW wind until I get in the stand and it’s inexplicably blowing from the East. I heard a buck grunt early then that was replaced by lots of deer blowing. So far I’ve had deer blow at me from 4 different directions. Lame.
