That's a tough one. I can't even imagine. I'd have been devastated.Sorry for the loss of your Father.
I also lost my dad at a way to young age, for both of us. He was 51 and I was 21.
Hold on to those memories, they are what keeps you going.
At it again, I have no confidence whatsoever in seeing a deer, but who knows? Other times I’ve been supremely confident only to be mildly disappointed, so I’m trying something new — low confidence hunting. If it works, I plan to write a book on the topic and become filthy rich. Wish me luck! Then again...DON’T!!
ML season this wk. I don’t think I’ve missed going this Thursday for 30 years beginning with the old TC side hammer I still have. But had Dad in Hospice this past week and he passed yesterday. With his dementia/Alzheimer’s last 3 years I’ve not shed many tear. He’s in a better place. But certainly he was at one time my main hunting partner.
Life gets in the way sometimes so priorities are important. Good luck to all!!
Shot a big ol doe. Season ends Friday and I’d like to shoot at least one more doe before then.
Any luck?Back in the haybale blind after the wide 8. Not sure if he’s still around. Only 4 evenings left including tonight. Down to the wire!
I took a shot and made what looked like a good hit on a buck I’ve said all along I’d shoot if he got in front of me the last week. I had a meeting tonight, so the search got cut short. I’ll be back out there tomorrow to do a body search. I haven’t had the greatest luck with shots from ground level. He ducked some and I think I hit high lung, as a result he didn’t bleed well at all. I magine when he tipped over a ton of blood came out, but that doesn’t help me. He was pretty run down and beat up, so I’m not too upset about not getting the meat, coyotes will make short work of him I’m sure. He was mainly a buck that just needed shot. He was a small racked bully.Any luck?
