Apparently dog days on my place...

All of these dogs live over a mile away and came at different times...

The first white dog and the last white dog are 2 different dogs...

Sitting on south plot with wind directly in my face at 10 mph from NW. sun at my back and 40 degrees. Most of the green you see is just cool season grass but there is a little wheat here and there. 2 fresh scrapes slightly behind on my left upwind. Last 3 pics of my target deer have been in this plot but all at night. The last one he came out right before 6:00 pm. Follow a doe, follow a doe, follow a doe…

Well, I had 2 does and 2 fawns come out just before dark but those does were so wired there is no way I think anyone could have gotten an arrow into one...they looked around for 2 minutes and just didn’t like anything and bailed out. I have got to get this dog problem under control!!!

Not quite as cold at 35 but the 25 mph wind is trying hard to make up for it. Had a shooter in the south plot this am per trail cam but I had to home school my grandson Eli this morning so I couldn’t go. Sitting dead center of the hollow overlooking the creek bottom. Wind switching to south tonight so no hunting tomorrow. Gonna go get dozer from other property for Saturday festivities. May get a Friday morning bowhunt in. Rifle season is Saturday…

Ended up seeing 7 deer of which 2 were small bucks...best single sit I have had on the hollow this fall. In years past this would have been a major fail but I think it’s pretty good now if you realize how much pressure is on our border...

I feel your pain this year Okie! I've gotten these dogs only a couple of times in the past few years but this year I've gotten them on camera 5 or six different days and seen them from the stand twice. Yesterday, they hung around for 5 hours and I got them on 3 different cameras. Check out the time stamps...

Calm, cold morning here and go figure...I chose the wrong stand yet again. It's hard to tell if he'd be a shooter from this pixelated thumbnail, but at least I'd have seen him up close and personal as he walked directly in front of the stand that's just to the right of this camera. I almost sat there too. You can't do much but laugh at this point.
