.41 at the hollow, that's a start. That radar blob to our SW looks promising. I got .04 yesterday. I'm in the drought zone you posted but on the light to moderate line, we're 6" or so under average at this time. Good luck, I'm hoping this one will hit you & us.
It looks like Kansas and Missouri are getting a bunch of rain right now! You guys should have an amazing antler year this fall and next fall as well!I predict you'll get rain today!

If our timber floods where we are you had better have an Ark at the ready or it's already too late!We should have good growth, only problem is when all your timber is flooded they go somewhere else
I was really hoping for that rain that came up from Texas to do what the weather lady said but I guess not to be and 90's back on the way for next week. I guess we need to really get dried out even more for some reasonAmazing! Your place is cursed (except for the giant bucks that show up for season thing).

I have been watching Fair Grove as well and noticed you are at the edge of that band of storms that keeps popping up like is happening all across Kansas right now. It looks like Kansas is just absolutely getting pummeled! I figure that will spread across Missouri as well. It is staying at the border of Oklahoma and Kansas and above...So far I have about a quarter inch, but with the future cast I'm seeing, I'll skip the evening hunt.
I watch your area for rain, and see you getting missed.
It petered out and passed over us then fired back up around Grand lake...aggravating!Well the rain completely dissipated before it even got to Muskogee so we are out again

I was going to say if you didn't have rain in your gauge today it's because you have it in the house stuck in a closet somewhere!Pouring outside, I dumped 2.75 out of the rain gauge so it wouldn't overflow. I definitely will not be hunting this evening. I know what you're going through, and wish you'd get some rain. This exact same thing happened to me in 2010. 2010 was not a drought year except for a small area around my place.
Since it's really dry and sunny right now I should get some good brushhogging in tonight on the property that has somehow gotten hit by most every shower that has came through the area this summer. Bermuda and Fescue is super thick on this property...too bad it's not our property
Well, I got an hour in on the hog before it poured on me so I had to quit a little early. I have about 3 hours left on the Property and then I move to another property that will take me about 8 hours and then I only have a small 2 hour place after that and I think I am done for the season. I need to sharpen blades when I pull off the rock pile I am neighboring now so the next 2 are real clean...Down our way it is TOUGH to bush hog ragged fescue and old Bermuda this time of the year. Keep those blades sharp!
