I hung a stand a couple weeks ago I think is going to be a winner. Overlooks the head of a huge deep hollow that the deer skirt the top of. It is at a pinch between the head of the hollow and the creek bottom...

Right now my main concern (other than drought) is sorting out this piggie. He is wallowing in my ponds and starting to root in my plots...trail cams show plenty of daylight activity and with the slightly cooler temps coming in starting today (low 90's) I am going to try to get a good wind to hunt him in the afternoons...

I think I have finally caught up to date...

I got up early and mixed a tank of clethodim up for my ATV sprayer and hit all the clover plots. I hope to see a good kill of the grasses trying to overtake the plots.

Haven't gotten a drop... It stayed above us in Kansas until it got past Oklahoma then it spread throughout Missouri and dropped down and got Arkansas...basically looped all the way around Oklahoma...again...

Whoa! That's just not right, but it happens all the time here. I haven't been to see the rain gauge, but it rained hard here, and there are more chances.
