Johnny...!st thing - I like OkieKubota. Secondly - Pretty cool to relive your experience since purchasing your place. It was almost like reading it again for the 1st time in a condensed fashion. Thirdly - I'm glad a whole bunch of us have found this site! Feels like home already. Looking forward to following along in the months and hopefully, years ahead brother!

Nothing like going down memory lane. Just gives me more respect for how much you have done in such as short time. I also feel like I've been a part of it--not only through your habitat forum but also our "text hunting" together.

BTW--who is this Mrs. Kubota I see lurking around this forum? If it is who I think it is then you gonna have to be on our best behavior,

Thanks 3C... I changed the forum name because at first we couldn't put our location and I wanted folks to know where I was coming from when I post.

Yes, my old thread had 3443 replies and views was 199,640 and I started the thread on Feb 14, 2014 so you are correct, VERY CONDENSED!

I am glad you came over. This place needed your presence because you have inspired so many myself included...Hopefully we can build this website to be the #1 hit when someone googles Habitat forums!

I am hoping in my later years I can slow down some and I feel like I just got started in life at 50...now 51...with this very new property and home. I am nowhere near maintenance mode. I am still in creating mode on this place...

You certainly have been there throughout. We became friends on the other forum and you are the only one of my new family I have met in person. Live hunts are going to be a lot Funner with tap a talk and the text hunts are cool!

Mrs Kubota is just who you think she is ;)

My next project this past spring was clearing the trees between our house and the county road because they were all spindly post oaks and in the winter provided no privacy when the leaves dropped. I decided to take everything down that wasn't a big oak. First I burned the leaves in those woods.

Then I got started with the saw...

Then I started a new fencing project down the county road in front of our house.

While the dozer was moving our driveway I also had him clear an area for the new shop we are going to build...

It is Brushhogging season here in Oklahoma which usually begins in May and runs through September for me. I brush hog commercially and wore out a brand new yet light duty Cimmaron Brushhog in 3 years. It still works but I needed something in better shape and heavier duty so I bought this new Rhino for the 2016 season.
