Wow! 3 times already?I hear you on the rain. I've had water over my entrance bridge 3 times this spring and never has that been before. Will have to replace one 4 ft culvert sometime this year thanks to nature.
Probably not as much as i should have but there's definitely more light getting in. It's only about a 20 x 20 yard area. I feel like my place is lacking cover/edge so that is the main goal right now. I plan on doing a couple more spots in the coming weeks then I'll leave it until after hunting season to determine how much/where I will cut this winter. I would also like to clear at least one area for a micro food plot by Sept. So many things to do.
Thanks for checking in dogghr. I thought about the chest high hinge cuts and am probably gonna try some in a different area to see if they prefer one method over the other. At this point I think any additional low level cover will be a benefit.Just getting caught up. Hate you had issues with the new bridge. This year has been a test with rains for sure. Hinge cutting looks good. I do find that deer prefer to walk under so I tend to cut chest high anymore when possible.
