"Whitetail Hollow" - 90 Acres NE Oklahoma.

Trailer upgrade from 2 3500 lb axles to 2 5200 lb Rockwell axles is completed. I have about 1.5 hours in it from tear down to complete replacement with just hand tools and working completely alone...

5200 lb axle is much beefier than 3500...

Had to go to a 6 hole rim...

Completed...sits a little taller because it went from 4 thinner leaf springs to 5 heavy thick leaf springs. I thought about upgrading to 16" tires from my 15" tires but I have several really good 15" trailer tires and I want to be able to use them up. I recommend this upgrade to everyone. Very inexpensive for what you gain!

Well since the trailer upgrade I have been using it quite a bit hauling my tractor and equipment, GTO, and just today used it to haul 2800 lbs of pelletized lime...

I spread the lime over our burnt up plots that badly need rain with the cone spreader. This is the worst my little water hole has ever looked...

How long is your car hauler - is it 18'? I have a 16' trailer with 3500 lb axels I have thought about doing that on. I got a new JD 65 hp tractor and I really need more capacity but the 16' trailer is a little short but might be OK with no implements on the tractor and the front bucket off for when I needed to take it in for service. Tractor weighs in about 5500 without loader.

It's an 18 footer...I haul my tractor with loader and 6' Brushhog on it. Not sure of total weight but its pretty heavy when loaded. The 5200 lb axle deal was super easy to do and the piece of mind is well worth it. I have 10 ply tires on it now but can upgrade to 14 ply if I decide to get 16" wheels.

Really nice bucks Johnny, which ones on the hit list?

I'm curious about your gravity feeder. Are the deer warming up to it, and are you satisfied with it?

So far those 2 big 8's are in the list but I have others I hope return from last year...

The gravity feeder is making a lot of fat raccoons and I see a few deer picking up scraps every once in awhile. I had a picture of a small buck with his nose to a port but it was just one photo. It is very near empty right now. I am feeding rice bran around the base of it trying to get the deer used to it but the big bucks are avoiding it like the plague...
