"Whitetail Hollow" - 90 Acres NE Oklahoma.

The receiver hitch with the hook can't be dropped low enough for smaller bumper pull trailers and is used for fifth wheel and gooseneck type stuff or tall bumper pull. The other receiver works well for lower trailers when you have bucket at nearly full dump. My hitch I use has a drop on it as well that makes it even lower...

My bucket is set up for moving just about anything I own or may run into to move...

It rolled in about midnight. Over the past week we have gotten about 2.5" on the hollow and home 10 has gotten about 5"...the trees are loving it!

Good rainfall, not quite that much at my place... got a bit over 1/2" out of the last front. Somewhere around 3" over the last couple weeks, a welcome change from last year.

Okie you sure have got some nice length on those bucks! Glad to hear you got some rain. Like the hitch/bucket idea as well. Used my FEL the other night to pull an engine......not really the best tool for the job....but we got it done.

The Bucks move through from time to time. It seems I have created what some call a"doe factory" but even those are few...about 6 or so...but they are out and about all through the night and day. Bucks come through about every 3 nights or so...when the rut hits they will be around a lot more...

I have used mine to pull a few engines out of non running cars in places that are hard to get a cherry picker to...it will work in a pinch for sure!

Plot here on the hollow went in yesterday due to a 40% chance of rain for last night and we got nothing. Showing hot and dry for the foreseeable future. I saved some seed back in case I need to overseed later.

I am heading to our other property to plant today and then down to our deer lease to complete a throw n mow field and then I have 2 small properties to Brushhog for clients tomorrow afternoon. My tractor moves on to a big job from there that takes me a couple weeks to complete and then a few smaller jobs to wind the season down by our bow opener on October 1st...

Just curious, do you charge hourly, or by the acre, or by the job to do the brush hogging? People have been asking about doing tractor work and I've been thinking about how to make it pay the expenses.

You always get some cool looking bucks start showing up this time of yr! Are they ever returners from the yr before, or are they usually new bucks that you have no history with?

Always big bucks at the Hollow. Enjoyed dinner with ya friend. Wish we could do it more often. I was going to do plots this weekend but with no rain just going to hold off a bit!
One day at a time.....

Long day on the tractor...

The bucks that show up in July - Sept are known bucks. Tall Tines I have been watching for 3 years now. Think he is old enough now...

I get stranger bucks in late October/November and sometimes they decide to stick around...

Todd, that mexican place we ate at was awesome. I tried to get my co-workers to go there but they chose other places. It was great seeing you my friend...open invitation still in place anytime...

19 days without rain right now and our 10 day forecast shows absolutely no rain all the way out...

I took yesterday off from brushhogging so I could take my grandson swimming. Temps were upper 90's yesterday. I ran across the road and took these photos of the plots I planted that have not had 1 drop of rain since planted and am amazed the radishes are trying to grow anyway...

Soil was moist the day of planting and we have had a couple foggy mornings early on and about 4 days with dew...only explanation I have.

I have always said if you get timely rains you can grow plots like a hero...it's what happens when you don't have rain that is the real test....
