Storms are sparking off north and east of us...I guess we need to move to Missouri or Kansas :(

The Hollow is starting to really attract the deer. From when we purchased in 2014 the doe herd has really grown from the 2 we saw the first summer to what we carry now...

Amazing what a few years of great management will do. Seems like yesterday you were just building your fence. Been a fun ride following along with your journey. And...You're still the hardest working man on any forum! Nice bucks and happy fawns and doe(s).

Nice new crop of bucks!

Thanks, every card pull is like Christmas. Most bucks need another couple of years but nice knowing they are around. I don't expect the bruisers to show up for over a month...

"Like Christmas" is very true. I like checking cams almost as much as hunting.

Sometimes it overwhelms me that in January 2014 we got to purchase this place from my aunt and it was just raw solid woods without an opening anywhere in it...didn't even have a driveway to get off the county road and when we went up we had to park along the side of the dirt road. Now most of it is fenced, road systems and driveways in place, 2 plots with more to come, new house, well, electricity, septic, sodded yard, big backyard, and the ability to walk out the door and do anything we like.

As far as working I have a new tail wheel coming for the Rhino Brushhog. The shaft is bent that attaches it to the deck and I called about getting a new one and they said it would be covered under warranty. $175 setup... :)

Out at home 10 I have a mini salvage of old Trans Am's and Firebird's that we rescued from the crusher over the years. I was over there a couple days ago and saw several deer trying to eat the forbs they found in the grass since it is so dry...

Altogether there were 6 deer and they acted as if they had no concern for me at less than 40 yards distance...

What a complete miss looks like again. It's been raining a few miles west and north of our location since before daylight this morning and I awoke to thunder and can hear the thunder now but not a drop of moisture has fallen on any of our land :(

Yeah...better than nothing for sure, probably not enough to germinate seed though.

Hang in there, hopefully you'll get some relief soon.
