"Whitetail Hollow" - 90 Acres NE Oklahoma.

Well we had a great orqnge blob heading right at Whitetail Hollow and it looked like mere feet from our property it simply disintegrated into a very light green then clear

Home 10 had a great storm pop up 1/4 mile south that turned into a huge orange blob racing away to the south

Dry ground begets dry ground...

It looks like you still have a chance later in the day, and I'm also watching hurricanes and tropical storms to bring a good amount of rain up from the Gulf of Mexico.

Our best shot at rain for the next several days is today...I am watching the weather map and the rain is traveling a more normal direction today moving from NW to SE but it looks like it is going to be too far North of us to do any good. It looks like Missouri is getting a bunch of rain today so Brushpile should be happy but it has rained a few times there since it has here...

Hope you get some rain today!

That 2" you got last night and whatever you got today must have you relieved. We haven't had rain in a very long time even though areas nearby have...heck our deer lease in the southern part of the same county has gotten substantial rain the past 4 days!

I guess when life gives you lemons you make lemonade! Dove season opens tomorrow and all of that rye grain and wheat seed I sewed 1 1/2 weeks ago is just laying there but is attracting a few doves. So I guess tomorrow evening I will try to get a few...normally my seed has already germinated by now...

If I hadn't gotten that rain, there were no good chances in the near future, nor is it possible to water so many big trees with spreading root structures. The nice pines that you've grown are in trouble is you don't get rain soon, and I've got my eye on the gulf for a major storm.

While I'm relieved for now, 2 inches doesn't end a drought cycle, and I've been watching NE Oklahoma, hoping you'll get rain.

Overnight a small chink in the armor of the force field over whitetail hollow exposed itself and a few sprinkles got through...the small dark spots is where it ran off my pickup on the downhill side where I had it parked at home on Whitetail Hollow - I am not under anything and there are no trees over the truck...

Interestingly enough it was pouring on me here in town when I left work headed home yesterday and is pouring down here in town as I arrive to work... It just can't get to our properties for some reason...

The property I planted (Home 10) looks like it got a nice light rain this morning. Maybe even enough to germinate the seed I put down almost 2 weeks ago.

Unfortunately the reach of the light rain didn't make it up to where our home on "Whitetail Hollow" is...

Farmlogs shows we got 1/16th of an inch of rain on our plots at Home 10. Woohoo! That is huge compared to what we have had which is nothing!!!

Today camper got new shoes. Amazing how the tires we take off look brand new as far as tread but are weather cracked badly. Camper is going to our deer lease this weekend

Got them put on and now I am sitting here with my dads old shotgun waiting on a few doves. When I got here they were all over the field and by the time I got the tire work done they had vanished

I agree Okie, I hate replacing trailer tires, always good tread but obviously dry rot started. Better safe then sitting on side of road. So I may have heard. I got a good shower for a few minutes today, maybe you can steal some for your place too.
