Seen 15 deer this afternoon ...one little buck in the bunch. My son got skunked, my buddy seen 4 doe, two nice bucks, a 10 & an 8...both had noses on the ground following the doe. He got a 120 yd shot at the 10...looks like a miss

I saw 5 bucks and 1 doe from my salt flat stand, and on the way out I saw 15 or so deer in the recently bush hogged corn.

I don't typically hunt food sources in the morning, but I'm rethinking that for tomorrow. Should I head back to the marsh stand (where I planned on going) or sit over the food? It's going to be cold by our standards!

Back on stand. I am in the stand on the point above the big hollow 3/4 way up the mountain. Saw a bruiser here last Friday evening. See what else may be around. 70's with a stiff south breeze...

I picked the right stand this morning. I'm overlooking my corn/cowpeas. Had a nice buck out in front real early. He looked to be an 8 pointer with good mass and short brow times. He was joined by a smaller buck, and I watched them both until they got downwind. If they had stayed out a little longer I would have gotten some great pictures.

I then had a few does come out 300 yards away in the cowpeas. I kept glancing back in their direction, and at one point I noticed such larger bodied deer had joined them. It was one of my big boys, Caribou buck.

3 more does just came out.

Just arrived to stand. 54 degrees this morning. Almost 20 degrees warmer then just 2 mornings ago. Doing a quick morning hunt then calling it a weekend. Temps too warm. Deer movement has slowed way down.

Back on stand. 2 young bucks killed by lease guys late yesterday evening. 2.5 yr old 8 and 3.5 yr old 6...

As the sun peaked over the horizon 6 deer were plucking soybean pods off the Eagle soybeans. One buck, nice up and Comer 8 point with 3 does and 2 fawns. Young buck did a little chase. After being shut down by the girls he dropped his head and slowly went back into the woods.
