Live from the stand 2016!

Beautiful morning. Hunting my main food plot. Eight does and fawns and one really nice young buck. Hung around for an hour then headed back into the trees. Buck not showing any interest in the does. No wind. Thank goodness for rising thermals. Screenshot_2016-10-21-08-46-06.pngScreenshot_2016-10-21-08-46-30.png

Finally got skunked this morning. Hunted a public area and had seen deer every other time I have sat there this season. They have been doing some "work" to the area and with the crops coming out around the area I suppose the deer have shifted their travel routine. Had a trail cam out there and in the last week only had a couple does walk by. Perfect morning to hunt, just need a good piece of ground to hunt.

It started raining last evening and hasn't stopped since. 2+ inches of rain. Maybe they'll move tonight...

On stand. Pulled a card out of a camera on way in. Mature bucks moving in daylight here in the big woods.

39 degrees, no wind.

Best of luck Johnny. No shots here but I did hear a deer blowing this morning on the property lone . Maybe another hunter. Nice crisp morning. 20161022_072649.jpg20161022_072734.jpg

Lots of deer are going to die today. These weather conditions are what I dream of all year. (NW wind, cool temps, low humidity)

Johnny, you are going to have to teach me how to edit the pics when TT uploads them sideways

I am on same stand I shot this brute out of last muzzleloader season in deep woods far up a mountain...

It's how you are holding the camera when you take it.

If it was an iPhone and not a fire starter if it shows sideways in your photo album you would just choose the picture (not in tapatalk) and edit with a rotation and then save it and then choose that photo for tapatalk...

Good luck guys! I got early text from Alan at Bull Pen, said he had seven deer around him in first hour. Next text was a big doe on the ground. She looks fat enough to be full of sawtooth acorns.

I'm live you stand this morning as well. Fairly windy with no activity for either of us. Let a small bear walk yesterday about dusk.
