I use a really neat free app called Rain Drop that shows how much it rained anywhere in the US. The free version only allows you to have two pre-saved locations that pop up the next time you open it, but you can manually move the map to any location. The free version shows the total for the past month, the paid version goes back in history as far as you want to go.

I use Precip, but find it off sometimes. I will try Rain Drop. Thanks
