If it takes 7" of rain to escape extreme drought, what about exceptional drought -- the most drastic on the scale? The thought is worrisome. We too are on well water Okie...

Sad to see all the complete cattle herds being sold off...we are gonna stick it out even though it is gonna cost us pretty big...I was visiting a local farmer/rancher today and had to change the subject. He was visibly upset to the point of almost shedding tears when describing the current drought. He is in his 60s btw and said he’s never seen anything like this in his lifetime. The forecast makes my stomach hurt; if I was a rancher, I’d have an ulcer from this by now.
So tired of seeing Arkansas get rain after rain… they’re about to get another soaking.
South of us as well...Well so far I haven’t gotten any. All the rain is to the south of me.
I think you are getting wet!So tired of seeing Arkansas get rain after rain… they’re about to get another soaking.
We got less than a tenth...I think you are getting wet!
Must have gone between us...I watched it all around coffeeville traveling N of I44 and then it hit the southern 1/4 of our county and then got huge just past...we were in the area between and got just a couple of whispy showers...We got less than a tenth...
Oklahoma muzzleloader season...always rains 6 of the 9 days...lolDon’t look now, but the forecast seems to jumping the chances up for the beginning of next week around here. We’ll see what happens.
That is not encouraging to hear, considering we are now 1 year and almost 5 months into this drought.Regardless of rain, which we began to have regularly after our year of exceptional drought , It was 4 years of recovery of habitat and some plots just now showing some normalcy but yet still sub par.
