When you said .50 caliber I thought muzzleloader. That brake and barrel didn’t look like a muzzleloader. What kind ?

50 BMG shooting 750 grain Hornady. I made it when I was a machinist so no particular brand. I made the brake fairly large and it helps with recoil a ton, but it blows crap everywhere when you shoot it. Kind of a fun gun to shoot!

Great! Almost no waste at all. His chest cavity was completely mush and jelly, there was a basketball sized exit hole in his belly, but the meat was almost untouched.

Yep same deer. There is quite a bit of pressure in our area. My wife and daughter have shot the bucks I’m after, and there’s still one daughter and a weekend to go!! Lol

I’m taking advantage of an afternoon off from work to hunt a stand a friend set me up in since he tagged out several weeks ago. Always fun hunting a new spot. It’s rifle season here in KS, but you can bowhunt during it. This weekend I’ll be taking our oldest out again with the boom stick. She’s pretty motivated now since little sister shot a big one.
