2015 was like that for us and then 2016 was bad and 2017 bad until the past 6 days...I lost a bunch of seedlings...so many that I just stopped planting. Right now I have about 50 sawtooth, 50 American plum, and 20 more sand plum to get in the ground and I hope I have time to get all that done this weekend along with a ton of other stuff I need to do like get my car ready for the first show this year, put up a couple ladder stands, trim shooting lanes, girdle some big hickory trees, get new gravity feeder in place and filled...and still going to try for a turkey bird...all time management stuff...Yep, that wide swath has been hanging over us all morning. Perfect rain for ground saturation. I wish I had a plot that needed planted right now, feels like I'm wasting it (but it certainly is appreciated)!
Last yr was the same way. Best summer rain I can remember in my lifetime here.
