I'm assuming the broken stock was a TC??? I broke one couple years ago on a side hammer ML by TC. Sent it back, and they couldn't match it so sent me new gun. I'm sure mine was 20+ years old. Of course a side hammer ML probably only cost 50$ these days. But good company and just cost me one way on shipping. Might give it a try. BTW, I've never fell walking thru the woods in the dark before, I'm sure that was frightening. LOL

For the record I have never fallen either... Top sling swivel pulled out while I was jumping rock to rock on creek crossing and gun rotated off my shoulder and slammed the front sight into a boulder and the shock broke the stock...I still held it by the butt when all was said and done...

That's how wars get started. Glad you didn't fall. I have before and once jammed the barrel full of snow. Thought it would melt, but instead just iced up. Ruined hunt for the morning..... or would the bullet blast thru the Ice? I wasn't going to find out. Good luck hunting.deer patch

Do you have any other barrels for that encore? I've been going to get a ML for my kids and then getting another barrel for it.

The encore I have is borrowed from a friend of mine until I can get a new stock for my omega...unless I decide to keep it and pay for it. If I do I am going to get a couple extra barrels for it...

Hunted the hollow here this morning in the heat and crappy wind and saw exactly zero but trail cam showed deer on the plots...couldn't hunt them due to the wind directions.
Trail cams show bucks feeding with does here and no chasing. We are a ways out for rut here but scraping has begun...
Took a few pics of the plots on the way out. They are coming around...
This poor little willow gets killed every year by a buck rubbing it. It comes back from stump sprouts...

place looks great. I'm not seeing any scrape activity right now but I have been staying out of the woods. I have several scrapes on the edges of food plots but they are not active at this time.
I cleared a plot a couple of years ago and purposely left a couple of willow trees. The bucks just love rubbing them. They are torn up right now. I've also witnessed deer browsing on willows also.

Got about 2" so far in October with another chance tomorrow. I can't explain these waterholes. They always look like they have plenty of water...
I decided to hunt here on our 80 today but I have neighbor noise and dog running deer issues. I think the dogs belong to the neighbors making all the racket
Think I am headed to the lease for a quick morning hunt and then I have to come back for a service call on the house and Eli's birthday party tomorrow evening.
