"Whitetail Hollow" - 90 Acres NE Oklahoma.

I’d like to see pics of that too, I’m a part of a family of jeepers. We head out to CO most summers.
I hope to go to Moab soon to hit those trails before my back gives out. I'll try get you some pics but not hijack this thread, but meantime youtube Hatfield/McCoy trail thats open to 4WDs. You may head this way. I don't ride the trail as we know enough outlaw places to go on timber and coal owned lands. I just picked up a part time job at the Greenbrier Resort guiding the Jeep adventure trips. Can't wait for some city dude to roll us over. LOL

Been a lot of rain in Oklahoma lately which means work has slowed but demand has not...while it’s been on and off raining I have been doing some maintenance on my machine...

If anyone has ever changed a fan belt on a bulldozer or backhoe you know it can be a PITA...I started the process yesterday and got rained out...will finish tomorrow because it rained all day today...

Backing up a bit...this is that small plot I made last fall and just threw some seed down on with no amendments and the dozer was the only implement on it...

This is it today...not great but it grew green stuff all fall that the deer just wouldn’t let get any heights on...

I've always heard just get that glob of grease as close as you can. The needed parts will just soak it up :):)
That “glob of grease” right there is just part of the process...the track is tightened with grease in the track adjuster. Right under that grease in the photo is a recessed area that has a grease fitting in it that you screw a pipe plug over so it doesn’t get packed with mud. In order to loosen the track you must release the grease kind of like letting the air out of a tire. A deep 9/16 socket unscrews the grease fitting and wala the grease starts bleeding out and then you place a block between the track and the blade and pivot the blade back pushing the track back and getting all of it out...so long story short...the grease you see was bled out of the track adjuster...lol

Rainy day...took a couple pictures to show progression...

This photo was taken in early Feb 2014 when we purchased the property and began fencing...

These are small pines I planted right after we got the fence up...

This is what it looks like down the road now...

When we moved there the woods were pretty open between the house and the road and I am not a fan of being able to see a road from my house so I cut all of the trees down with a chain saw and cleared them out and then went in an planted spruce, pine, cedar, and juniper and it turned into this view from just past our yard looking toward the road.

And from the road it looks like this...I am taking this picture directly toward our home...

Yikes!! There is no way to beat the weather, even though I hard Bill Gates is working on a way to do it. I imagine Mother Nature will put him in his place. Hope there is not damage from the Blackberry Winter. I enjoyed the Before and After pictures of your 80 that became more than 80. I remember following along with each post and strand of barb wire

Thank you...the night was as bad as I thought it would be...snow stopped at 3, sun came out and dried everything, wind fell off, temperature dropped, hard and heavy frost from midnight till about 8:00 am...not a good thing...

Well...the same old Tom turkey is still running around out here but being the last and only seeing 2 hens all spring just takes the wind out of my sails for hunting them so I have been keeping myself busy with the dozer on some jobs...

Fellow calls me up and tells me he needs a house and 2 barns to disappear because they are beyond repair and he is tired of paying taxes on something that is unusable...I didn’t want to do it but he said he can’t find anybody and I understand that because the marijuana growers have completely taken over Oklahoma due to our lax laws so most anyone with equipment is booked solid clearing land...Heck the way our properties are filed it shows we have 2 10’s, a 15, and an 80 and weekly we get offers on the 10’s and the 15 because the growers need at least 10 acres to start a grow operation per the rules...the offers come in the mail with names like “Advanced Equity Solutions” and others on them...we get about 4-5 offers a month...

Yesterday was the day I got over to his place and I made it all go away with a case 550G...

A couple days ago I also put 400 lbs of 8-24-24 fertilizer on the clover plots and this morning I cleared a few trees for the neighbor...took me about an hour...first time dozer has been home in over a month but it’s going back out on Monday...lots to do...

You are a busy man. How many hours do you think you put on your dozer since you got it?

About 700 hours so far in a little over a year...I did a little 2 hour job for a neighbor yesterday morning and I have another one I am starting Monday and another one I am starting Wednesday and then booked the following week on another one...

That's a slick looking job. Now you need to buy a good metal detector and look for old coins on those sites after you get them cleared off.

I'd love a dozer!!!. Maybe one day when I retire (little retirement side gig) because I'm sure If I bought it before then I would never get off of it and it probably would cost me my job. nice work and love those plots of yours
