The Brushpile

Do you have a Honeyman or United rental around you? They would be a starting point. You could also call a local concrete supplier and see if they could point you in the right direction.

There is a rental place in Augusta ks that does this but I don't remember if they are tied to a bigger franchise

If you decide to try the preloaded pull behind, don't travel more than about 5 miles. All the aggregate works it's way to the bottom and will not come out. Ask me how I know. We tried to patch my Dad's parking pad and got the dump box with about 1 yard of concrete. we drove about 10 miles to his house and it would not dump. Had to use a hyd. scissors to get the dump chute open and it still would not come out. The top was almost pure water and the bottom was 12 inches of solid packed gravel.

Oh boy, I can see that happening. Hopefully they didn't charge you too much for getting concrete stuck in the trailer box.
The pull behinds I am thinking of have a drum that revolves like a concrete truck would.

Rather than mess around we decided to pay a contractor. I called a cement company and 2 yards delivered and smoothed is $900. That's highway robbery, but it also makes the $700 contractor estimate sound reasonable. What do you think anotherdogdown 17?

That sounds expensive but it's in the ballpark. If you are having it done this winter I would ask the contractor how they plan to protect the concrete from the temperatures. I would insist they cover it with insulated blankets for 2 to 3 days if it's going to be near freezing outside.

My remote location drives the cost up. The nearest cement plant is 20 miles.

This forum is great to share useful and helpful information. I have never heard about a pull behind.

I drove to Indiana to a shed dog trial and though about the kennel while driving. Brushpile you need to get it poured without you putting your health at risk. One trip to the emergency room will far exceed those estimates.

My two cents ..

My wife already made that decision for me. I still have plenty of work to do setting posts and putting forms in place.

Your wife and as does mine help us select better options on occasions. My greenhouse construction had a few $$ adjustments too.

And you have training tracks to put Rowdy and Elkie on too.

It's snowing!!! Earlier this month the hottest day ever recorded in February was smashed by 8 degrees!

You have snow and I am thinking about the trees that were budded out on your place earlier in the week.

Oh my.
