Live from the stand 2016!

Pretty uneventful this morning. Had a buck come in at 7:30 but couldn't make out how big. Nothing since. On a good note, I saw this fresh one right below me when it got light.

I certainly hope this wind direction model holds because if it does it means I get to spend the last hours of the last day of our muzzleloading season finally hunting our owned ground at whitetail hollow!

1 of those down to the wire deals but we haven't had a wind I could hunt it right until the one forecast for late tomorrow afternoon in the entire 9 day season!

My treestand buddy agrees with me that it's a great idea!

Wow that's a big squirrel!

On a positive note, the Ranger dropped by after the hunt, both perps got 750.00 tickets and will lose there lifetime licenses with another infraction . Gave the Rangers my gate code and permission to patrol my property when I'm not in hunting. Also took him for a tour so he'd know how to get around. The message should get around to the locals pretty quick.

Heck yea! Gotta love it when justice is served on trespassers/poachers.

Watched my Cowboys win a huge game against West Virginia and now In the stand for an evening hunt. 85 degrees and windy. Not very optimistic but can't kill one from the couch.

Just watched a really nice young 9 pointer stand guard over a doe while she ate from my feeder. He stood watch over her as she ate, and as soon as she moved he was right in her tail grunting up a storm. Saw him make a scrape and a rub too. I cN still seem in in the thick stuff about 30 yards away, and he's still grunting.
