I agree that this means it knows something is wrong but hasn't positively identified it as a human threat. I've had this happen when I have missed one completely, when they have seen me in the tree in full gilly suit, or when I have wood smoked myself and they have gotten dead down wind.
Unfortunately, in all those cases, they eventually leave. As said, its less frustrating if the just blow once and run.

LOL. I did that and it quit. Just spooked it on my way out if the woods. Nice buck. Guess I'll stay out of that spot for awhile!Blow back at it. I do that all the time. It's my way of telling them to STFU

Congratulations on a great looking buck!
Eli finally gets to hunt and it's the worst day we have had since October began. Got down to 70 degrees overnight. Full moon absolutely blinding all night long and a 20 mph wind from every direction except north!
We sat a nice stand this morning that the camera showed wehad a real nice 8 pointer and some does at yesterday morning a little before 8 but this morning nobody showed
At 8:30 we moved to a more scenic stand nearby...
We have not heard a shot all morning...
Moving to home 10 for the evening hunt but it's going to be near 90 degrees. I expect him to score there but we will have to take care of it quick!
