Not everyone is built for CC and it's not for everybody, but I've seen some kids tough through an awful lot in CC. Regardless of build or speed it can be pretty valuable.

Congrats to the kids and kudos to you for taking the time to coach. Kids are kids for such a short period of time. Every moment spent with them is an investment in their future! On the habitat front...I gotta try one planting a rub tree. Never have done that. That buck above is a hawg! Hope you get a crack at him.
I think the older kid is going to make a frame for the magazine in wood class. The article on your kids is really great! Definitely something you need to hang onto for the future!
Our grandson Eli has been in soccer for 3 years now and finally made his first goal yesterday. We are so proud of him!
Doing something so hard and not finishing up front shows a lot of character! Some of the best races in the race are towards the end. I firmly believe that some of the toughest kids finish in the back, it isn't easy for them.I gave my son a pat on the back each week for gutting it out. He never once quit a race, finished everyone he started. The 2nd to last race last year he was sick to his stomach and was the last to finish, BUT he finished. We have some brutal courses here, probably every where, very hilly for an area that seems as flat as a pancake!
