3-10 days. Need a little warm sunshine tho.Anybody know how quickly WR can germinate with consistent daily rain?
Hmm, the sunshine will be the issue then cause we have 40%+ everyday and then Florence will be here at the end of the week. I just hope the seed starts germinating before the flooding comes!3-10 days. Need a little warm sunshine tho.
I have had it start showing in 3 days no tilled.Anybody know how quickly WR can germinate with consistent daily rain?
Glad to hear some of your results! I got about .5" since I put it down on Sat with plenty more rain predicted in the forecast this week. I would rather take my chances with sprouted seedlings than seed sitting on top of dirt when the hurricane starts flooding us out. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Agreed! Worst case I'll be putting some more seed down next weekend so it's a good thing I had some left over.Yeah, I was hoping to get a break for a couple of days so the seed would get the roots down in the dirt versus sitting on top like they were yesterday afternoon. We could get way too much rain this coming weekend!!!
Spray it this weekend and broadcast right into it.Odd question. Has anyone planted rye into a weedy plot without killing the weeds? I have a new plot that has no prep work done on it and this weekend has a high rain forecast. Should I wait a week and gly then seed or broadcast and let it ride?

I’d like to but won’t the rain wash the gly off?Spray it this weekend and broadcast right into it.
Gly is rain fast in 2 hours.I’d like to but won’t the rain wash the gly off?
Well that's definitely quick! Farmlogs shows I've had .9" of rain spread out over the last 5 days so I expect to see some nice growth when I go out to check next weekend.I planted winter rye 2 days ago, already had germination today. It’s crazy wet in the mountains right now.
