"Whitetail Hollow" - 90 Acres NE Oklahoma.

My neighbor is having the same issue. He got a nice new camera out of it though.

I'm fairly certain I came upon someone in a tree stand at a friends place on Saturday. It wasn't my place, and I didn't want to get shot, so I left and told the property owner about it. He actually had problems with the previous property owner hunting there, but he died, so who knows. Either way it's not a good feeling being alone in the woods and you don't know what the other person will do.

That has crossed my mind before as well. Remember the guy that went Postal and shot all those hunters in MI or WI a few years ago when they confronted him in one of their stands.

Well, long day today...

Check these pictures out and tell me what you would have done...

These were taken after they removed stands, mineral blocks, and some other junk. We picked up the trash and put some nice signs up for them to look at from their back window...

Still need to cut some big trees across the road they built from their trailer down into our deer lease and run a cable across it...

They've been on you for a long time. That big tree will get sick and die (been there, done that). They got their stuff quickly, maybe they took you seriously!

I think they did...we were basically posting in their backyard yesterday afternoon and I could hear them jacking with an old 4 wheeler while I was pounding nails in trees/signs...still have some chainsaw work to do up there...found a closed 1 gallon milk jug with some stuff we couldn't identify in it so we let it be thinking possibly shakenbake meth lab...

Okie...Bad deal on the trespassers. Good job on getting it resolved. Love the shots from the stand of you and Mrs. Okie.
I hope we got it all resolved...we got lax on patrolling that side...

I have a plan if I get my 2nd buck during muzzleloader season and since I will still have a bunch of vacation to burn I am going to be patrol on that side. If anyone shoots anywhere along there I will be there PDQ...

Thanks on the pictures quote...we talk to each other quite a lot through text while on stand.

Eli gets to hunt starting this coming Friday :)

Went by home 10 today to do a couple things and watched several deer cross our driveway as I was driving in even though there is new house construction going on across the road...cousins daughter building a new house.

I haven't been there since we got a couple rains on it and was surprised to see plots I planted August 21st that completely burned up germinating. I guess seed that had not germinated is now coming to life...

And while I am looking around I see this fellow and I don't have my gun and forgot my bow was in the truck...I got very close to grabbing him by the tail but his sixth sense saved him :(

Lol. I'm surprised you didn't have your carry on you. Those critters can run pretty darn fast. Glad you are getting some germination. Hopefully you'll get some more rain on it Thursday and Friday.

Once they get moving they can really move...If I had shot him with my bow I would have probably got a ruined arrow out of the deal. I have been really lax with my concealed carry lately and I need to fix that asap!

Hopefully we both get some decent rain! I know the picture doesn't really show it but looks like lots of Rye Grain trying to pop up in the plots...

Well I guess our daughter and us got our wires crossed about this Friday's youth season beginning. My Grandson has a Jog a thon deal at school to try to raise money for the school on Friday and I had thought they were out of school for fall break but she said that is next week. Last year fall break coincided with the youth rifle season and I assumed they did it that way so kids could get out and hunt but I was apparently wrong and last year it...just...happened to fall during the youth rifle season. Eli won't have an opportunity to hunt until Sunday because he visits his dad on Saturday. Sunday is looking hot and windy and we have poor stand choices for that combo. Home 10 is just about our best bet but we want him to get some deer camp time in too...

Bum deal, hopefully he can get it done on Sun. Best of luck.

Always looking for things to improve our properties...

These are some type of non-native hybrid red oak that was planted back in the 80's...very prolific acorn producer! I am sure my co-workers think I am nuts scooping up acorns while on lunch and throwing them in the back of my truck...lol :)
