I got banned because I said the admin was alittle extreme about wanting to shoot all the protesters in Minn.I guess they don't believe in the 1st rights.Oh well it's just as informative over here and they don't bring up all the politics.

Welcome home, this forum could use a few more dedicated and knowledgeable habitat people anyway.
I lurked about over there for a bit but but didn't have the time for another forum. And I'm sure not a very political person.
Politics on a hunting forum is always a recipe for extreme discord that brings more bitterness than filled deer tags.

I deleted them off my Tapatalk yesterday. It’s becoming an echo chamber.

I was banned over there quite a while ago. I have not changed my posting behavior over here at all. The moderator that banned me could not even cite any rule I broke. They simply did not like it when my opinions conflicted with the conventional "wisdom" over there. It is kind of funny. I had a lot of informative threads over there that were liked and used by many folks. They did not delete them, they just banned me.

I've got no hard feelings. It is a privately held forum and they are well within their rights to ban me for any or no reason. I still point folks to some of my old threads over there when they have questions about something with a good thread there.

I was happy letting folks look at my posting history over there and deciding for themselves why I was banned. I believe my banning says more about the owners and moderators of that forum than it does about me.

I was careful when I came over here not to bad mouth that forum. There are many great posters over there that are good guys and more than willing to help others out. Probably my biggest regret of being banned there was losing daily contact with many of them. Some post here as well.

I'm not one for name calling or ad hominem attacks, but I also won't back down from online bullying or water down my opinions. I have never been a controversial figure online or in person until I landed on that forum.

Sometimes, what seems like trial turns out to be a blessing. I had already created an account over here in contemplation of my retirement. At the time I was too busy to post over there and here too, but I figured I'd have more time after I retired. Getting banned over there was actually quite a blessing. Once I started posting over here, I quickly realized how much time I had been wasting trying to defend my opinions and posts on that forum. This forum doesn't get the level of traffic that All Things Habitat gets, but it is much more collegiate over here. Most folks seem to be sharing and trying to pay forward what they have learned from others and their own successes and failures.

I'm thankful for this forum and grateful to @cutman for sponsoring it!

I saw the post that got you banned. I agreed with every word you said.

No political discussions here.
