You and me both! Yeah I know the commissioners in Oconee. Those are some crazy jokers. Their philosophy of governing and mine do not match up.

Few updates since last posting,,,

Nature’s civil engineers are creating us another duck hole in our wetlands. This is the 3rd beaver pond in this wetland drainage that separates my neighbor and me.


A few pics of my hack n squirt from a year ago. Very pleased with results, particularly on larger trees. Treated with straight gly and looks like 100% kill a year later.





Brooks connected on an Easter morning Tom.


Saturday, the grandkids do what grandkids do at Easter.

Should have our C/O this week on our retirement home. Was able to buy an old farm place near two of our kids n their families. Tore down the old farm house built in 1903. Couldn’t be salvaged. Built a farm house that looks like it was meant to be there. Planning on moving in 1st week of May.

Access rd converted to food plot. Last thinning in 2015, I had loggers to remove 3 rows of pines on access rd. This past fall we prepped n planted in a fall mix. Turned out to be a winner. Bedding n cover just a jump away for deer n plenty of sunshine hitting the ground.




Tucked a ladder in a clump of cedars on edge.

No...You da man brother! I'd last about an hour following you around for a day up in those hills. I turn 65 in 3 months. Funny how you wake up one day and your in the 4th qtr of life. Been a good run every decade so far and good Lord willing...plan on making the rest of the 4th qtr as good or better than all the others. Gonna be exciting to be 30 minutes from the farm and a mile from grandkids on each side.

Great update IIIC. Spring looks good on all your locations. So you are as close to farm now as Brooks. That mean you get as much accomplished as he does? House looks beautiful.

Greatly appreciate all the kind words guys! We are thrilled and excited on all fronts. I'm as passionate about the farm as I was the day I bought it more than 10 years ago. Always something to look forward to with improving the grounds. And, I'm equally excited about our home build as we are close to beginning a new chapter in our lives.

Gonna seem kinda weird not having to drive thru metro ATL for the 2 hr trek to the farm on weekends. But...a good kinda weird knowing I can wake up and be there in 30 minutes.

The new home is awesome. The entryway and driveway is incredible. And the ladder stand is el perfecto and the eater egg hunt must have been a blast. I am happy for you Triple C.

Great update Triple. I was just thinking you had not posted for a while. Glad you have another pond for some great pics. Beautiful house and land. I'm mid stream about 4 months completion of new down sizing house. Contractor been whining of lumber prices but I ignore him and glad I locked into contract last year. He's making a few bucks for sure. Enjoy your changes. Not sure what you mean of entering autumn of your life!!
