Stone Branch, build it, they will come.

Congrats on one fine Buck George! BTW…Used your knife last evening to gut and dress a fat doe my youngest grandson killed yesterday.

Thanks again everyone.

I guess that I can call myself a big woods hunter now.

I have Old 8 on 3 different cameras during the day.

Crab is still in the mix.

I finally got to see the buck that the guys over my north line got all excited about calling him a 170".

IMG_0405 (1300 x 731).jpg

Clearly not 170,

IMG_0401 (1300 x 731).jpg

in fact, he is the buck that grew his G2 out of his brow this year. He wouldn't net 140".

IMG_0402 (1300 x 731).jpg

A good buck none the less.

IMG_0333 (1300 x 731).jpg

I believe him to be the 10 that I was calling 3 1/2 years old last year.

IMG_0110 (1300 x 731).jpg

He'll be legal at 5 1/2 next year. He has been camped out up there since Homeboy 10 left.

Post Script, I was wrong and have since been corrected, there is an actual 170" north of me that I have never seen, not the buck pictured above.

One of the last pictures of Old 8,

IMG_0500 (1300 x 731).jpg

Too much walking around during hunting hours, a young fella in the hood killed him east of me.

Love walnut wood. I’m Sitting now in front of fire beneath my walnut mantel I made from my farm. Hated them as child as we had pick up thousands of them yearly to sell. Still hate the nuts and I think my hands are still stained
