Live from the stand 2016!

I didn't get to post yesterday after the bear sighting cause my phone was dying but I saw 2 turkeys and the same spike I passed opening day. Here is the bear video. It is partially blocked due to the foliage and because the gopro is attached to my bow. Different perspective from what I saw. You can make him out running off at about the 15 second mark. Was a pretty good day overall!

Seeking buck number 2 just came past. Bigger than number 1, but not big enough. 10:10. 42 deg. Sunny. Slight breeze.

I just had a youngster out for a late morning turnip snack. It took 5 minutes for it to notice my buck decoy, but when it did, it left in a hurry. I'm guessing it was a lonely buck fawn.

I was packing up my stuff around noon to get down then I heard one blowing on the other side of the property. Well the blowing kept getting closer so I sat back down. A doe came flying by so I got ready for a coyote. The crows started going crazy and out came not 1 but 2 bobcats. I didn't know they hunted like that.

Had two come by me just last week, first time I've seen it as well.

Heck it is mid 70's here and that's after a cooling rain! Mid 80's through mid next week after today :(

I was out looking over our back yard "rock plot" at home at the clover and WR growth and apparently a buck walked into it while I was looking at the ground. He bounced and that is what snapped me to attention and I saw the little 6 point blinding for the woods. I told my wife about it and she said I needed to get out here somewhere so I grabbed my ML and made the 7 minute walk to south plot...we had a little rain today so maybe some deer will decide to hit this plot really early...I only have till about 5:15 to hunt and it is 4:00 now...

Yea it was supposed to rain here today, I must have missed the part about the snow, 31 here now and 10 mph wind so it's mid 20's

I'm on a stand in the woods. Love this stand during the rut. If my thermacell doesn't kick in soon though I'm going to be carried away by mosquitos.
