I'm not seeing turkeys in our plots this yr. They seem to be spending a lot of time in the ag fields where it's a lot shorter or bare dirt right now. You guys are probably a month ahead of us in the growing season. I bet it's a while before our heads start dropping seed. All my fall grain has gone to brown seed now. Not sure the deer like it but turkey and other birds do. What do your boys do during summer time?
Not really. I burn hedge and use it for fence, but what are you thinking? What do ya need and how much? I can always help a guy out...Have any old hedge fence post or anything of the like laying around you don't want anymore?
Wonderful pics! I have to agree Kansas looks awesome.
Did the boys fry that snake or grill him lol?

This post is kind of a reference for future records of plants and bloom times. It's also an illustration of one of the reasons I love Kansas; it's a beautiful place with lots of natural diversity.

I'm sure I could find something you could use. Where are you located? Is this going to be within driving distance or will shipping be involve (I'm guessing if you where within driving distance you could find your own piece of hedge...)? Length and diameter of the piece you need?I just want an old fence post to make turkey calls out of. Old Osage, especially the part that has been buried, is great for trumpet yelpers.
Fairly sure it's called "Cat-Claw Mimosa".What is this plant?
