My niece is 9, but needs to shoot more. Plus I do not want to step on her dad's toes. I worked with my son this year, but he is not ready either. My "youth" is a close friend of mine who has never shot a deer. He's in his thirties, so I can't help yet. If he and Grandpa kill a deer, my season will be complete without me pulling the trigger.Glad to hear your getting some rain as well - it makes good things happen in the plots and for mast. You got any youngsters to take out for the youth hunt next weekend?
My youngest has said she is interested, but has not acted on it - at least not for the actual youth hunt. She will go with me come gun season I am sure. Gonna be warm by the sounds of it as well. Tough on the kids when it's so warm and it tends to reduce the deer movement as well.My niece is 9, but needs to shoot more. Plus I do not want to step on her dad's toes. With only 33 acres, keeping food in front of them during hunting season and the winter will be a chore. I plan on having very few summer plots besides the clover in the walnut grove.Great pictures! I love dozed out of the woods plots and I plan on adding a few more this winter. Hard to keep enough food in front of them if you have a high deer density...
