Crimson Clover

Anybody try spring planting crimson clover. We have an old 10 acre pasture that’s in bad shape forage wise. It’s being fenced in now for cattle to be turned in late spring or early summer. It is mowed low right now. Wonder if I could broadcast crimson clover to give it a little jump start ?

I just frost seeded a mix yesterday before the snow. It was crimson clover, alfalfa, red clover etc. I just top seeded an existing clover plot. Not sure how it will turn out.

I believe Pennington suggested seeding after last frost date. Crimson should still germinate though if the others you planted don’t crowd it out.
