CLOVER IS KING FOR ME

Sorry about a repeat of the pictures. My clover is doing great and the deer love it. I hope to get a few more perineal clover plots established this fall. The pic with the hat is a mix of white, medium red and arrowleaf on half of the plot and the other half is chicory and WTI clover that is nice and thick. I have some grass to take care of in it along with some horseweed that you don't see in the pictures.

Nope. It’s just a secluded .4 acre plot with good soil. I planted durana, arrowleaf, and crimson clovers with oats, wheat, peas, and radishes. Don’t think I’ve fertilized since my corn crop last year.

Now that you mention it, I’ll top dress it if we ever get rain in the forecast again.

I see there is a white flowering crimson clover out now that I am going to try this fall. I also have a very nice stand of the Renovation white clover I am looking forward to seeing how well it does going forward but so far right now it looks good and the deer and turkey like it.

Turkeys love the king here too. Always add some rye grain or wheat that dies out by july, leaving lush clover for fall.

Ok, I'm not being a jerk or anything and this is all in good fun, and we all know that you meant "perennial" (not annual) as opposed to "perineal" ( meaning peri-anal or pubic) clover. But I'm a smart@$$, so I got to thinking, what exactly would a perineal clover plot look like?

My bucks, especially, like it. This plot is Durana. The does really like the arrowleaf for fawning because it gets so tall and wooly.
