I planted 50 persimmon around the plot hugging the dozer piles, some with post hole diggers due to big root systems on the seedlings.

I decided to drive up to our place to see how the deer are utilizing it now with the changes I have made so far. Easy to see with the tracks in the snow... I know one thing...I wish I had more Elm to hinge! the deer are absolutely loving it!

Actually that fence build was one of the most interesting reads I've done, Kubota. Wouldn't mind some bits of it again.

I started this thread off with the fence build but it was much condensed. I will put some more in when I get to where I built the fence near our home...

It's great to be reading your thread again OkieKubota. Those are some awesome deer you've taken from your property.

It's a really neat area. Big woods keeps deer from being road hunted or shot in open fields. A long shot would be across a plot on our place and it would be about 75 yards or so...
