Shanks have become sought after parts of the deer in our house. Takes a little more work but low and slow in a Dutch oven or crock pot and you’re left with amazing meat. Lots of options once it’s off the bone and shredded.

If you have Shirks around, there will be ice-cream. Ritchey's is a local PA brand of icecream, worth traveling to Pennsylvania for a taste! Chocolate chip mint is always a good choice.
