Been deer out in the oats every night. Some little bucks starting to show too! Glad to see my time and work were worth something.

Made it out for opening day at a local spot near where I live. Was able to take a great doe.

Glad the season is here. Time to stay out until late October cold fronts. Good luck to all this season!

Well I have stayed out 100% to keep pressure low, til the time was right. Today I ran out and checked cameras and took a quick walk around midday while it was pouring. The plots look spectacular and the scrapes are now there! It's so cool to start seeing this stuff now.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the feedback and the time you guys take to read this!

Here are some pics of a buck I'm thinking of taking if I get the chance. Biggest one so far.

Hey guys! Been a few weeks since I've been on. Busy busy with a great deer season. Tagged a doe on 10/1 and another on 10/16. Then finally hunted the 15 on 10/29 for the first time. Passed a nice 8 with a busted G3.

This really got my heart pumpin! Passed him, then watching him spar with a smaller buck, rub a tree and then later I rattled him back in and he feasted on my oats!! What a night! Saw 12 deer my first sit on the 15 acres and thought man I may be doing something right.

I hunted the next morning and saw one 5 point...that was it. The next sit was 11/1 evening. High 30's with a strong SE wind. I picked my furthest in transition stand after much thought, about halfway into the 15....didnt think the wind would let me get away with it but it was November 1st. Had to try it, as I would be downwind of the main funnel.

I saw one buck sneak behind me but never got my wind. (scentlok and ozonics I do believe helped honestly) About 20 minutes later I look behind me towards my plots and see a nice buck trotting down the edge into the tall grass coming towards me. I identified him as a shooter, and stood up and got my camera pointed to where I think he was gonna go. I let the arrow go at like 10 yards. 3rd sit on the new 15!!!!

Very happy with this buck. Ends up scoring as my largest in MI by a couple points. I'd like to think a few things attributed to this hunt. Food plots / Low pressure / winter scouting (showed me the funnel) and the right neighborhood. Bonus, the whole hunt is on film for everyone to see.

Talk about the worst drag ever. My neighbor helped me with this hog. Bet he dressed 180-200.

Ended up taking another smaller buck up in Northern MI during gun season. Tagged out! Now waiting for habitat season to begin once again. Probably more details and pics to come but wanted to throw up an update. Hope y'alls November treated you well!

Really nice buck, congrats. There's nothing quite like making the farm your own with your first kill off it.

Well guys hope everyone is doing well and finally enjoying the spring weather. I’ve been out to frost seed clover and chicory, and will be back there tomorrow to see how it’s looking. Deer are in there tho.

Made it out to the farm (not sure I can call it that, but its fun so oh well) to check on a few things and pull some soil samples. Soil drying out now....and sending in soon. Apple trees look like they're still alive. Win!

My Fall brassica roots are popping, the clover is popping and not sure on the chicory yet. Been getting some good rain tho. What is this? It was in my oats/peas/rye plot.

Also, just West of my Sky Scraper stand where I killed that buck out of, I found a couple beds. I call it that because of it’s 25’ height. These beds are on higher points in this flooded area against trees/stumps. Only 30-40 yards from that stand is the issue. Not sure what to do here...

What are you guys using to post pics up? I was using the Deer Hunter Forum app, but now it's just saying View Attachment like in the previous post, and giving me this:

View attachment 12017

Looks like tapatalk app still works below. Yall using this over the DHF app?

I just posted a bunch of pictures and got the same message. They seemed to post fine. I jumped over to the desktop site and the pics were there full size too.
