Looks great, G. I spent the last several days working at my place; Hot!! Hope you have AC over there in the branch. None at my cabin so slept in front of the fan. May be time to invest in a window unit.

Take a ride to town yesterday lunchtime? Heading home (eastbound) on the AA, a truck pulls from 1149 heading west just as I approached the intersection. Something clicked in my head: I think that's George's truck. Too late to wave or honk by the time I was pretty sure.

Thanks ng, I have ac in my ride but refuse to have it anywhere else. I keep my windows closed in the heat and run a dehumidifier 80* feels like 60* when you come in from 95* feels like 110*. I am off of 1149 Trace south from the AA Grayson spur.

Looking good G, and you deer appear to like the pokeweed. At my home, which is 20 minutes from my farm, they browse it like that too. However, at the farm, I have never seen it touched the first time. Go figure......

It’s a preference thing. You have too much other better stuff to eat at the farm???

I'm going to get some more pictures after a cup of coffee. I have half a mind to eat this one, but I believe it to be a female, looks to be preparing to shed it's skin. This one is as ornery as a rattlesnake.

Those milky eyes I would say she was getting ready to shed. I had several pet snakes as a youngster

3 days ago, it happened. In play, I sinched up both dogs together and held them in side control. While my attention was diverted after letting them up, they decided to match to the death between themselves. A match to the death in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu results in a tap out simulating death, not so when bandogs match to the death. I put a choke hold on Tank and he eventually released Tiny's head. I had quite a tussle on my hands as I kept myself in the middle. I ended up with Tiny in a body triangle and blocked off Tank with my body, common sense slowly returned, and I was able to keep them separate.



Tank does not bite his handler in a fight. I can't say the same for Tiny. I ended up with bruises all over my arms and hands from teeth with one bad puncture wound. Tiny lost some hair and Tank has barely a scratch most of the blood in the fight was mine.



My puppies were quickly back to being best friends, one would be lost without the other. I irrigated and disinfected my puncture wound and as I sat there in the aftermath with an ice pack and whiskey I thought, wow, that was fun.



I'm seeing now the trees that were hacked and squirt last year that leafed out this year are falling over.

I think that were okay but can't say it won't happen again. Tiny is generally submissive but has his limits. Perhaps no more jiu-Jitsu matches. My Loved One wanted to put all of the blame on Tiny still having his nuts and is making a case for cutting his off too. Tank lost his nuts but still has his kill switch. Tiny is a few months shy of 2 years of age.

I was cleaning up a firewood pile that I let go to waste before making firewood out of it yesterday morning



and found my first copperhead of the season.





I relocated it to the back orchard to protect my pear trees from rodents. I love these little snakes.

Yes, thanks, my Loved One is also a vet, I irrigated it with cold water, hit it with peroxide, then chlorhex, ice, then her silver cream concoction wrap. It was looking a bit red yesterday as it has been unprotected for a couple of days now, so I put the cream on, and it looks fine today. I have been on the lookout for sepsis. LO wanted to double dose me with clavacillin but I fake took the antibiotics and stashed them for if I needed them.

A new dawn has awakened on Stone Branch the 900-acre clearcut adjoining is commencing.

False start, after the loggers bulldozed a new creek crossing over my neighbor's land without asking



today they packed up their tools and left, not enough wood chips in the woods for China to make it cost effective.

No, they cut a road through the creek over my neighbor's property over a mile away from me, to circumvent a cement bridge with weight restriction.

Food plots here in Kentucky sure have become a laid-back affair, mow once or twice and add some seed. I hand cut some pigweed before it's seed became viable in this plot.



Clover is now beating out the smart weed. I couldn't find any weeds that weren't being browsed other that some dogbane further up.





First chanterelles in the path on the way up, that's all I found, but a good sign.



Storms are popping on top of me today so I'm up sprinkling out an old bag of beans. I'll come up in a few days after the rain days and spray some glyphosate and sprinkle out some brassica after that.



I finally found one in my path hunting in front of the vertical stick.





I love these big ass snakes.

In real life I saw him 10 feet out. I walked around it poking a camera at it and it never moved. If you were to step on it, it would probably make you aware prior.

Beans are germinating.





I sprayed 4 gallons of 2.25% gly.



As of now my target buck is the little racked 8 pointer that I have passed on a half dozen times, he is 5 or 6 years old.



He has a goofy racked buddy that looks to be younger.







At least one fawn made it so far.
