St John’s Wort

Not the best picture, but is this St John’s Wort? From the farm in northeast Georgia.

Probably is, but I would need a better picture to say for sure. There are at least 8 varieties of St John's Wort in the US, and some will grow in your state.

It's not St John's Wort, but very similar. It's called St. Andrew's Cross (Hypericum hypericoides).

I don't have it here, so my knowledge if it is limited to what I read. I know the flowers are beneficial to insects, but not sure about the browsing aspects. Thanks. This is the only one I have found. It is growing near my cabin and nothing seems to be browsing it. Sure is a pretty plant, though.
