Help making a small "deer paradise"

Good afternoon. I have been lucky enough to have found an area to hunt. However this farm does allow a lot of other hunters to hunt. After this last season I learned that not many people hunt to close to the main operation. I have permission to do so. Near the X is a pond. I have decided to hunt off the dam down into a small clearing. I was told there are typically a lot of deer in this area. There is excellent bedding all around from young pines that are no taller than 15 feet. I have a trail camera set up with some corn to see what was around. So far, not much. A deer, raccoon, and a coyote. I was planning on taking the area you can see and throwing some clover down. Is there anything else I should do to try and attract some deer to this area?

From what I can tell in the picture, it is going to be a lot of work to get clover growing there. Pictures can be deceiving. I'm seeing it as limited light and lots of hardwoods leaves. You will want to remove the leaves before planting clover.

There are but it's my experience they stay to the house are farm buildings. During the summer I'm there nearly every weekend.
I hope that is the case, but that would be unusual for free running dogs. Almost any free running dog will venture out some, and it doesn't take much to drive the deer off.

PS - That area looks like it might be a good travel corridor during the rut when bucks are covering a lot of ground. That long stretch of cover is the kind of place they like to travel during those times. Best wishes.
