PIG HUNTING

Two of my cousin's sons want to go pig hunting, these are clean cut young men, 18 and 24 years old, (with way more energy than me), but they don't know where to go, and the one guys dad would go along. They are willing to pay, but the hog hunts that are sold at the Great American Outdoor Show are mostly a scam, several friends went over the years and got no pigs. Does anyone know of a good place to go pig hunting?

Plenty of free pig hunting areas if they’re willing to travel to Louisiana. Pearl River WMA is one of the best, fresh rootings and mud on tree trunks are great places to begin stalking or sit and wait. You’ll hear the sounder usually before you see them, easy to flank them to an opening if the wind is right. During open deer season they can be hunted with any weapon. Lots of people go in February after deer season because your view through the woods is so much better but you have to use a rimfire or shotgun with T steel due to only small game season is open.

What licenses would they need?
