We had one of the wettest springs on record this year. I have very light soil and a high water table so I knew I would probably lose a lot of the nitrogen that the previous years beans had fixed. I try to keep synthetic inputs to a minimum so I decided to see how the summer mix would do without fertilizer. All the rain really robbed the nitrogen. You can see how light green the mix is on the left. On the right I added late fert to see the difference in biomass. May not be the best test as the mix that got fertilized is closest to the tree line and gets browsed harder
