i may be one of the few but i've had issues with both browning cameras that i bought so i am hesitant to buy. both had the same issue, the seal went bad and water got into the camera. thanks for the feedback i will keep my out for other deals.
This may not be your issue at all but, in my many years of running cameras I’ve come to the conclusion that water inside some cameras was from condensation not leakage. Even the slightest moisture, snow flake, rain drop or just plain humid air when allowed in the camera when changing cards or batteries will create more water inside than you can imagine. Due to changing temperatures. I always check cameras now in perfect dry weather even if I have to wait a week.i may be one of the few but i've had issues with both browning cameras that i bought so i am hesitant to buy. both had the same issue, the seal went bad and water got into the camera. thanks for the feedback i will keep my out for other deals.
I've had better luck with Browning than the 5 other brands that I've tried. But I had to send one of the Brownings back to be replaced right out of the box. The battery tray would just fall out. I didn't have that problem with any of the other Brownings. So there are probably defective ones in every brand.
Yes, I agree with you, I didn't mention that my favorite #2 brand was Bushnell. I've also had Moultrie, Cuddeback, Wildgame, StealthCam, and some other off brands. Some of these brands had streaks of brilliance and deserve honorable mention, but a lot of them were plagued with either short longevity, poor battery life, terrible trigger, or a confusing sequences to program. One cheap brand I got in a sealed 2 pack, the one worked well and the other one didn't. My Brownings and Bushnells were consistently good on all of these key points. I'm not paid to hawk these products, just giving credit and saying what worked for me. But the new breed of super deer seem to be wise to red blinking lights on cameras, black no flash is a must anymore.I think you’re on to something there MM. I’ve had great luck with Bushnell cams. I’ve gotten 4/5 years out of several in the past. I even “lost” one for three years until my buddy spotted it on a trail where I had forgotten it. The batteries had started leaking, but I cleaned it up inside and it went right back to work. Bushnells and Brownings are all I own.
I am also looking for Batteries and 2 8GB SD cards.Good deal on Browning website for their BTC5HDX Extreme. Batteries and 2 8GB SD cards included. I got mine 2 weeks ago...seems to have better trigger than same model from a couple years ago
