Man, that's got to suck, makes me glad I live where I do. It's not great around here, mostly an inconvenience trying to get anywhere on gravel roads because most are still closed somewhere or another, but people like you have it so much worse. Definitely thinking bout you guys.

A news article about Nebraskans dealing with, and working on recovering from the flooding. In my thinking from the stories I'm hearing about these hardy midwesterners like the man pictured, they are real Americans, descendants of the pioneers, who may be down but are not out. Hats off to you guys who get right to work cleaning up, and show the world what sticking it out really means.

Were up at the north end of Howard county, about 45 min straight north of GI on 281.

Are you getting anything from this last round? We've got a fair amount of snow and ice and everything is muddy as hell again, it was almost dry

I am sad for what you guys in Nebraska have had thrown at you. In only one visit made to your great state it was very obvious that the people living in Nebraska are special. They are caring individuals yet tough and rugged as they come,people that will control their own destiny despite what has been served to them. Floods are a tough deal. My hats are off to you guys from Nebraska. It won't be easy but you will all get through it TOGETHER. It is just who you are.

Last round didnt effect us much luckily, finally able to drive more of the properties and see water was 14ft deep places, fences and ditches are the biggest mess at this point, either all gone or completely plugged with stalks. Sand aint quite as bad on the ground as I had thought but man is it still muddy!

My girlfriend and I came back down Hgwy 75 out of Omaha the other day. Crossed the river and it looked like somebody had been playing with campers like toy cars on a beach. Hugh sandbars all over the place and the campers were tossed here and there. Crazy to just see even that little bit of damage.
