Plenty of mayapple around, I hear the deer in my area feed heavily on them when they ripen later in the summer.

I recently discovered mayapples as well and found out what a good source for deer food they are. Funny thing is in all the different woods I've hunted, I can't recall ever seeing them until I bought my place. Good find!Plenty of mayapple around, I hear the deer in my area feed heavily on them when they ripen later in the summer.

Nice pictures and nice mineral lick. My licks are being hit hard right now, but it won't be long until they slow down on it for the rest of the year.
Good deal! An updated survey is something I'd like to get done on my place as well.Last week was a big week for us. We had our property surveyed and despite the crazy rains the crew finally wrapped things up. It's a huge investment but I'm really glad we decided to get it done early. Most of the GIS map borders weren't even close. The survey included a really great overhead photo made possible by drone. The picture quality is so good I can see blue 5 gallon buckets at the base of my apple and chestnut trees!
We also entered into a contract on a neighboring property; We close in 10 days!
Update with more pictures coming soon, we'll be camping on the property in early July.
