Another beautiful weekend in the hills, its hard to beat cool mountain weather as summer starts ramping up. This was a family trip just enjoying the property and local area although I did manage to broadcast 30 pounds of buckwheat into our maturing plots.
Lots of diversity in these fall plots. They’re not magazine cover plots but that’s not really the goal anyway. I’m happy with how they turned out.
My wife spotted this fawn after the rest of us walked by.
Waterfall hike off the parkway.
My son (6) won the big fish award this trip. Really nice brown! All by himself on a borderline toy (zebco dock demon) rod and reel.
And a few for the frying pan.
