The fire in western part of state started in Oklahoma and now are saying killed 5 people so far counting 3 by Texas border. We are close to 200,000 acres and then have another big one north of Wichita
Cool. I planted some in pots (in the basement) to see how they grow and what they look like. The are shooting up fast! Going to be a neat plant.Looking great cat! I just ordered 200 miscanthus giganteus rhizomes. Can't wait to see the benefits in a few years.
Great pictures! Looks like spring is springing...I think we are just a little further along because I have mowed once and need to mow again...If we get a few rains brushhogging season will start early... The door looks really good...Oak?
Hail bad enough to damage roofs and cars?
Thanks. I'm kind of proud of them.Nice shots of the lightning.
Just a few miles south of here at "Home 10" it looks like full blown summer. Everything is greener up and the mowing HAS to be done this week or I will have to Brushhog the yard
I am behind on so much stuff with those porch builds. I still have 275 seedlings to put in and hundreds of acorns to direct seed...
Usually have a couple of mow down the dead growth from last year jobs but I haven't done any yet because I have to change front axle seals in my Kubota. For both sides that's going to be another 8 hour job...Lol. I'm in the same boat. I "could" mow but it isn't to the brushhog stage yet. Do you do a lot of business this time of yr?
I also have a couple of bags of acorns that need direct seeded.
For what it's worth, the porch looks great!
That looks great. No natural cedar posts like on the front porch?Usually have a couple of mow down the dead growth from last year jobs but I haven't done any yet because I have to change front axle seals in my Kubota. For both sides that's going to be another 8 hour job...
Thanks...Had to build a back porch too...have to save more $ for the back deck because taxes are due mid April
This is a picture before soffit was done...
Thanks Weasel. Spring "feels" good. I can't wait to get outside on these nice days!GREAT photos cat, thanks for sharing. So nice to have spring back.
No natural logs on the back porch...I thought it might "Overdo" the concept since this porch is going to be incorporated into the back deck we are saving up for. The back deck will wrap right around into this porch and it will be 44 feet long and 22ft of it will be roofed and the other 1/2 won't. We want to be able to use the back deck rain or shine...That looks great. No natural cedar posts like on the front porch?
Having projects set due to funds isn't fun but I tend to do the same thing. I build a lot of my own stuff and have to wait sometimes for $$$ to come in to finish things. It's slower than hiring it done but it sure saves some money. Your place is looking great!
