Farm and Ranch life

I didn't like looking at snakes but did watch the video through the end twice. First I have never seen a rattler and second was curious about what they could have been up to if not breeding. The does' reaction was cool but not surprising. Deer are just plain interested in everything. The other morning I was in the sun room enjoying a warm coffee and the rising sun warming my position overlooking the usual family of six to seven deer feeding below me when two bald eagles dropped from the sky and swooped down. One missed the ground by a few feet and then opened it's wings and then flapped and raised itself into a large poplar tree. The other eagle landed on the ground right among the deer. One of the young deer walked right over to within fifteen to twenty steps of the eagle and stamped at it and bobbed it's head. Then the deer would bound one jump away and turn around and do it all again. They just can't help themselves; they are very curious animals. The little deer finally got too close and the eagle flew up and over it to another large tree another 100 yards away. The second eagle left it's perch from the large poplar and joined it.

Rusty, I just watched all your videos and subscribed to your channel. Good stuff ! I YouTube very little and this is the first time I've ever subscribed to a channel so I don't even know how they notify you of a new episode. Guess I'll have to ask MY 22 year old !:)

Keep them coming and congrats on a great buck last season !

I had a friend in Jr high whose family loved finding snake dens and it was a big weekend for them to go get them rattlers. I was invited each time and it was always a hell no. I have seen the snake dance before and care not to watch what might be on the other side of one of my trees. The other videos were great.

Loved the snake video! Just doing road warrior stuff and haven't been able to spend any time on forum until this morn. The doe didn't seem to be much bothered by those 2 bruisers. Keep em coming!

Quail hunted south of the border years ago and ran across a few of those in the brush. It's such a weird feeling walking up on a dog on point knowing those things are laying somewhere near you. Even with snake chaps on I never got comfortable.

I guess I'm getting the hang of YouTube, I got this one hot off the press ! Amazing difference in six to seven on that buck, and not what I would have expected. Great video Rusty.

I was planning that very thing on around 40 acres of plantation pines on the place I just sold. I was surprised how cheaply I could get it done by pros with all the knowledge, equipment, and, most importantly, liability insurance.

Great video Baker.I was surprised how the other bucks knew enough to not challenge. I guess sex doesn't over ride all of their common sense or learned experience.

Great vid Rusty ! I was privileged to watch a young buck breed a yearling doe at least ten or twelve times when hunting one afternoon. He had her in a feed pen when I climbed into the tower blind with my buddy's twelve year old boy. We watched him bluff charge a couple younger bucks away several times when actually all they wanted was a little corn. We got into the blind around 2:30 pm and they stayed until almost dark before they slipped out. They were both worn out, she even laid down several times during her ordeal.o_O Needless to say, my buddy's son was captivated by it all.

I really enjoy the videos, keep it up !

Love the videos, Rusty. Keep em coming!

You inspired me to burn some of my pines after I watched your video. It was only a 2 acre block but was way overdue for a burn.

Excellent, I am already seeing green up on the burn. Keen to see what plant species regen
