Apparently this guy doesn't listen to groundhogs.

80 degrees today at my farm in SW Mississippi. This is a large Southern Bartlett. A few of my other pears are leafed out but the large majority are still dormant or just breaking bud. I planted 6 pears and 8 plums today.

Not a fruit tree, but this sawtooth is ready for spring too.

yep, our trees are being fooled right now. I noticed bud swelling on one of my fruit trees and it's only February.

Hoping we don't get any major late fronts. I've got about 50 fruit trees on my place, and that's the only one that's blooming. About half are partially leafed or breaking bud, the other half are still dormant.
