CLHC

Went out yesterday and sprayed some grass that I had missed in a couple of my clover plots. The crimson is flowering out and should be about done in the first of May. The ladino and Zulu arrow leaf are doing great and getting good browse. Here are a couple pics of the white and Zulu along with the browsing. There is just a little bit of crimson in that plot too that must have been hiding in my spreader lol.

Lookin great! That clover is at least 2 weeks ahead of ours. White clover is one of the few plants besides grass that seems to thrive on being grazed or mowed.

yes it does. I also hand pulled some thistle that came up in this one plot.
I sometimes spot spray thistles with 2,4dB (Butyrac200) or Thunder, neither of those kill clover and both kill thistles, especially in spot spray applications where you can specifically soak the weeds and avoid the clover. 2,4dB isn't as effective as Thunder, and won't kill grass, but it's got one amazing thing going for it, it works for clover and oats combo plots, which is on of my favorite mixes.

Got some small plots planted and took pics of them. Didn’t have my phone when I planted the bigger plots to take pics but will next time I am out. Planted Alyce clover and aeschynomene combo in the smaller plots that I will throw n mow with a clover mix in the fall hopefully to try to get them into the rotation to get free seed for each planting season. In my bigger plots I planted a 5 lbs sunn hemp, 15 lbs soybeans, 25 lbs ICP, 5 lbs aeschynomene, and 5 lbs Alyce clover per acre. Started planting the bigger plots last weekend before I got sick and ended up in the hospital for a few days so I didn’t get what I wanted planted at the time so I had to finish this past weekend. Got some good timely rain after the first planting and got good germination and they are growing good. Starting to get some rain showers here today for the next couple days so hoping they will take off this week.

Your plots are looking great. It looks like there's some showers around in Georgia this morning. Sorry to hear that you were ill, being in the hospital right now isn't a good thing.

I have used this model, my friend has one, and it's the top of the line, the 50x optical zoom is amazing. We were a terror to coyotes with two of these on .300 blackout rifles with suppressors one night. The great feature is you can link it with a smartphone so that a bystander can watch the action live.

Yes I am excited about using it. Coyotes and hogs are going to get it.

Great thread -- you're proving that deer don't need acre after acre of ag ground to grow big horns. They only need a little tlc (of course plotting is more than a "little" work:eek:) and TIME!
