I think IF the state you own land in has a landowner exemption then it should not matter if you are a resident or not.....you pay the taxes, you should get the perks. I did not know this until I looked it up as it has never affected me before......Indiana allows a non-resident landowner to be exempt ONLY if the state where you reside offers the same exemption in that state (you do have to provide proof of ownership of the property if checked by the DNR). Clip below is right out of our regulations guide. Not sure of the logic behind that, but it is what it is. Non-res deer tag here is $150..... I think that is season specific as well (archery, General firearm or Muzzleloader). Or you buy the "bundle for $300 and hunt all three seasons.
